Verizon and Turn's Invasive Tracking Measures

The news of the technological realm since at least the fall has been abuzz of Verizon Wireless’s UIDH “zombie cookies” and the advertising company Turn’s abuse of them, but to be honest I still don’t have a complete grasp as to the science behind them. Most recently Turn has claimed they’ll be backing away from using them which only makes me believe they’ve got another scheme for invading mobile users’ privacy underway.

Does Avast provide protection against these invasive practices? What can be done to secure anonymity while using Verizon’s services?

Without root not much. Verizon is doing their own images of android and they are adding own stuff for getting info about user etc. This is more legal issue, because you surely agreed with this somewhere in EULA. Anyway, thanks for pointing it out, we will do some research and we will see.
