this new build still has the issue of main program window being very slow to load in all images, it been like this for last 2 build, prior to ui redisign there was no such issue
hello with this version, when i double-click the icon in tray, the interface popup but immediately self-close.
no problem if i click the Virus Chest menu in tray, interface opens ok but if i click in the interface the first tab “Status”, the interface closes itself.
i have the free version with only web, file and email protection.
i have already done a software repair by windows installed programs> change> repair.
OS is Windows 7 x64.
+1 New Webcam Shield stops hackers from hijacking your webcam to spy on you (Premier only)
Avast Internet security users are pointless. ???@Avast? avast has really lost track.
No option for rescan in viruschest. :-X
Scanning files by right click now only open popup with results = much faster then before
All scans needs less time to complete.
New virus chest looks nice but scanning files inside is missing. If is file restored, it is removed from chest. If file exists and Avast ask for overwritte and i click on cancel, file is removed from chest
Still incorrect info from popup/notification center about what Avast do with detected file. (It says Moved to chest, but file is deleted - Email shield)
Driver updater is not included in custom installation. This feature should not be part of AV program. Is dangerous to use it without reason / No security advantage
Behaviour shield still missing in GUI for Enable/Disable
Still missing statistics which were removed years ago
Please don’t release stable version only one day after beta version. There is no time for testers find bugs. Very strange habit by Avast team.
Another +1 from me. I really don’t like to see my Premier version acting like click-to-pay freeware product. Sorry for harsh words, but it was an unpleasant surprise for me :-\
And this new “feature” is not the changelog too ;D
I’ve been configuring PCs and repairing software related issues for years and years. If there’s one thing I can say: There’s no need for driver updater program. Period.
Of course some drivers like graphics might need update from time to time (that is, if you are gaming).
Judging how various “driver updater” programs work… it’s a nightmare and idiotic business to tell the truth.
EDIT:
At least keep it out of security software UI and notifications. It’s not AV problem. Same goes to PC tuneup and what not.
Did the update this morning when Avast said there was a new version out. Went to this forum and did not see the new version listed as a new release, but downloaded from the Offline Installer link in v2310 and it did in fact, get 17.7.2314 … Install went okay, but the UI windows opens way too slow. That has to be fixed.
Avast is becoming very irritating with the endless bloatware and click-bait ads and notices popping up. Avast acts like it’s the only software loaded, especially on mobile apps. If IT WAS THE ONLY APP, I wouldn’t NEED TO USE it, now would I? Come on, guys, get into the background where you belong, and do your job! I understand the money thing, but’s it’s MY money and time, and on mobile, I pay for the airtime.
+1 from me2 cause i don’t want to install any extra stuff more so i would like to be able to remove that install option to, they should make it to their website so when ppl want they can get it from the site
OK seems to be that developers of this software aren’t really smart.
Power off the “Intelligent scan” in settings> OK.
Open GUI by the tray icon.
Voilà, the gui doesnt work.
Power on the “Intelligent scan”.
Voilà, GUI works again.
A baby of 10 years old age, i think can be more smart in this.
