Problem was with IE 64bit on Win7 64 bit, and it was fixed by VPS. So please update your virus definitions, if not updated yet automatically and problem should be gone
Whilst it is good that the quick scan is back, it is far from Quick. It was sat at 0% for some time and after that progress was pretty slow. Absolutely no comparison to the original Quick Scan, that was really ‘Quick.’
Same Problem. The automatic update does not work and no notification informs you that there is a new update.
If you do not follow the forum or do not open the program you will never notice that there is an update to download. And as a result, the program will remain obsolete with possible security problems
Not really related to Avast though is it, you messed up your own system with a botched install of Norton over Avast : you would be better sticking to your original topic and providing some logs for one of the specialists to look over and see if they can fix your mess.
But didn’t you say in your other topic you installed Norton first then removed Avast, Norton has obviously corrupted your Avast installation preventing complete removal and that’s why you now have issues trying to re-install Avast, then you removed Norton and installed Avira and probably further messed up the system :
imo you are probably better off removing all third party AV’s…upgrade the system to the latest Win 10 and use the built in Defender which will be simpler for you to maintain and hopefully you cant mess that up.
