Version: 18.6.2349

Good news everyone,
new stable version 18.6.2349 has just been released. This time it’s more about fixes and internal improvements.

What’s new:

  • Do Not Disturb Mode replaces Game Mode and adds support for non-game apps too

  • Edge extension replaces the Internet Explorer one (https://www.microsoft.com/store/apps/9P5882STVN6X)

  • SecureLine VPN component won’t be part of AV. User will be offered to install standalone VPN client independent from AV (staged release not for all users now)

  • Support for scanning TLS 1.3 traffic via Web Shield (Chrome, Firefox)

  • Automatic redirect to search page if domain isn’t found

Fixed:

  • Firewall notification not displayed when network changed
  • Detection dialog not displayed for Web Shield when set to Ask
  • Wrong reporting of Wi-Fi Inspector scan progress percent
  • Site blocking works again
  • Rescue disc
  • Reporting of AV and Firewall state to Windows Security Center
  • Explorer scan result not added to Notification Center
  • Removed Enable offline mode option in free version tray icon

How to install:

P.S.
For upcoming versions we work on completely new settings and full 64-bit version

I just updated, nothing seems broke.

Thanks for the new release

But…

What’s this? We beta testers doesn’t know this one :o

Bugs:

  • DND mode - if not installed, is still visible in GUI, when I click it, causes endless loading.
  • Secureline VPN is visible in Components although is not installed.
  • When i click on full scan, first time appear results from previous scan and scan will not run.

Those two are already reported on last beta refresh (yesterday).

A Japanese user also reported this issue with previous release version (18.5.2342), although I can’t reproduce it.

Thanks guys…smooth update.

Updated smoothly to 18.6.2349.

Clean install of 18.6.3983.0 build. Good.
Couple issues using Custom Install:

  • Avast VPN option ticked to install even tho said in first post was removed in this version.
  • New Feature: Do Not Disturb not installed, yet shows in gui and constantly tries to load window, does not complete. Endless operation.

Great…!! 8)

Hello,

- Wrong reporting of Wi-Fi Inspector scan progress percent
Sure?

Never had issue before , but today:

Updated. No problems so far.
Thanks.

Updated fine on the XP computer and the Windows 10 computer … It did try to sneak in “Safe Price Add On” for Firefox on my XP computer (maybe I missed deselecting a check box) … Otherwise all is fine.

I would like to find “Settings” but “UI is down”.

https://support.avast.com/article/Troubleshoot-Antivirus-UI-Failed-load

it’s a stage rollout so no everyone has the new experience

BUG!!: Program update settings (‘Update’ > 'Program > ‘Settings’) can’t be configured in v18.6.2349!
It’s greyed out!!

Went back to v18.5.2342, where this isn’t an issue

(Avast - Free / Offline installer / Clean install / Win8.1Pro,x64)

Well it’s possible it’s not been reported.
I have no issues with this version on W10 64 Bit

Edit: Did you try a ‘Repair’ of that version installation

Tested to see if reported bug for ‘Disable until computer is restarted’ has been fixed.

Passed.

I thought you planned to stop using the term “Security update” for a new version of the program. Still low priority, I suppose.

Well, there are some security fixes as well…
