Version: 20.2 (March 2020)

@NickB,
Can you then Restore your beloved saved settings Ok after doing the Reset and Restart?
(Some users have complained they lost their settings by doing a clean install)

Reported to Avast.

Statistics are back after many years, but they are inferior to statistic which Avast used before. There is only some summary, we need live information what Avast doing right now. As i remember there was live statistic for each shield individually. I really dont understand why this feature was removed.

Hello. After updating avast to version 20.2.2401, he began to interfere with the work of discord.
The discord starts up normally, but at the same time I can not join the voice chat. I can write and see what others are writing.
I have already added discord to the Avast exceptions, deleted the firewall rules associated with it, so that the Avast will set them again. Nothing helps.
If I disable the avast firewall, the problem disappears. However, if I connect to voice chat with the firewall turned off and then turn it back on, the connection is interrupted.
As you understand, I can’t always sit with the firewall turned off. But I really need a discord. Especially considering that we communicate with friends only through discord.
I really hope for your help. Thank you in advance.

Windows 7 x64-bit, Discord version Stable 57177 (a2a33bd), Avast Premium Security 20.2.2401.

P.S. This post has been translated by Google translator.

this version sucks exactly the same as the previous one. Disabling the shields HAS NO EFFECT. that damn behavior shield KEEPS RUNNING (and giving false positives) EVEN WITH ALL SHIELDS DISABLED. Why didn’t you fix this before releasing a new version???

Is it fixed?
Please fix it soon and give us an explanation. I don’t want anybody to manage my browser. This update sucks. It’s getting difficult to browse freely without enabling web shield.

Hello everyone! Avast software update done on my pc successfully, thanks for this update

.

Why are you deleting my comment?

I asked the obvious question and you deleted it.
Do give us an option to opt-out. My setup is managed by me. And I don’t want anybody else.

Stop posting the same thing in more than one place. It adds confusion.

:frowning:

Same experience here after the upgrade. Avast firewall would not turn on with or without Windows 7 firewall on. Outlook could not receive (but would send) internet was blocked, and my VPN to a remote company server was blocked (openVPN connected and looked normal but I could not open any folders). Disabling all Avast shields allowed everything to work so it was clearly the issue. Repair did not help. Resetting to defaults as described by Nick B seemed to have worked.

I haven’t checked everything for this update yet, I thought I was going to have the firewall disabled problem with Premium too, but no, everything went fine.
I wanted to clarify this because the problem doesn’t seem to be general even if many have noticed it.

I was waiting for this update as I had detected something that did not convince me in the previous version (I had talked about it in another part of the forum). And instead:
The loading phase at PC startup is still slow
It is true that advertising can be deactivated in personal privacy but persists in the program interface where additional paid modules are offered
At the end of the network scan you are asked, in English! If you want to protect it and while obviously answering yes to subsequent scans the question is asked again!
Finally, the statistics interface is also in English!
I hope that I will not be offered the usual remedies: uninstallations with avastclear, clean installations …
I tried them all and despite an Avast Premium Security license for the moment I decided to use Windows Defender.
I fear this moment will last a long time!

yer this fecked my firewall… >:( >:( >:( Thanks Avast…

A complete re-install does seem to have fixed the problem but then again, so did removing the firewall component in the un-installer and re-adding it…

Anywho on to the reason for this post… I have a current 10 unit 2 year premium license only bought a few months ago and would like to know having used the 10 units (not looking forward to re-installing 10 times) would it invalidate the license? and if so are AVAST willing to provide a fresh license free of charge??

As long as you are re-installing on the same computers, there shouldn’t be any problems.
If you change computers, you need to remove one device before you can add a new one. That way you never have more than ten devices using that license.

Thanks Bob ;D

You’re welcome.

With the update I lost “network connection” of the current network in the firewall.
I only have “firewall logs”, “settings” and “application settings”.
Is this normal?

why don’t you put the statistics like in avast 2015 which was very good :frowning: ??
