With this new silent program update, does Avast still show that Chrome installing window?

for me all the driver files are 2279, also avastUI.exe is and avastSvc.exe is

I think the final version is then 2279 ?

Same thing is with AvastClear also.
What is with this weird version number ?

I hope Secure VM now works properly on Win10 64bit. Would be nice if there was an easy way within settings interface to perform a test instead of fiddling with commandline tools for it.

A UI Real Time Statistics problem from the beta build has been carried over to 11.2.2260.

On displaying the Statistics > Real Time Data - The stats count is present, but it is barely there long enough to do a screen capture before the count/s return to zero.

major bug still exists several stable/beta versions ;(

As you can see I’m connected via a Private Network:

Why does Avast want me to turn on SecureLine ???
Why is it unsafe for me to decide not to choose Auto Update ???
I’ve opted to be notified.

File version displayed in Explorer is 11.2.2729.0 not what the release version indicates 11.2.2260.

Confusion all round.

The link at neowin doesn’t go to the computer version but the one for the android device ???

Here is the post of that BUG:https://forum.avast.com/index.php?topic=185139.0

In Beta-Release History they put the2016.11.2.2260 (Stable release)?
And Release history with notes
They don’t post 2016.11.2.2260 as a stable release? it is a beta… :stuck_out_tongue:
Avast! should answer this?
Miss to fixed the issues of bugs ???

The second pic indicate that is a BETA.Not Stable!
It is a mess… :-\

I couldn’t figure out why my system was slower than usual with this latest avast! version despite using Samsung 850 Pro for my PC drive. This version doesn’t turn off Windows Defender. They are BOTH running together. C’mon!? How did you f**k this up!?

I am about to loose my trust and respect in Avast soon :-\ :‘( took a while to fix it :’(

Thanks for the update. I put release topic on Japanese forum.

@Be Secure

If you are on the beta stream, Avast always shows “Beta” on its UI.
Of course it’ll access to beta server, to receive new beta when released.

Installed and protecting! 8)

Yes David, this is internal change which has no impact for users, just for our infrastructure.

On a forum and web post we will continue in using version number, which is displayed inside Avast. Both numbers will be unified in next releases.
