after update to 17.4.2294 VirtualBox stopped running. On previous version 17.3.2291 everything was working fine. Removing checkmark “Enable hardware-assisted virtualization” does not help. Only when i turn off avast it does help to start VirtualBox successfully.
host win 10 64 bit, latest ver of avast and vb
please fix this issue or recommend how to bypass this
Hi, I have the same problem. After a clean installation of the latest Avast Free (17.4.2294), VirtualBox doesn’t start, only when antivirus is disabled VirtualBox starts. With the previous version of Avast Free this problem did not happen.
I do also have the problem with the latest update.
My config :
Windows 7 Home Premium (registered)
Core I7
12 Go RAM
Virtualbox 5.1.18
Moreover, even if I disabled it and if my virtual machine has more than 1 processor, then it stucks at startup saying that the processors had soft blocked…
As I used Virtualbox in everyday work, I had to uninstall Avast and switch back to M$ Defender (then everything works smoothly as before).
Windows 10, 64 bit, creators update.
Avast free 17.4.2294 (with all micro fixes), default settings
I just installed Virtualbox and it runs without a problem.
