In Avast 4 database virus found Virus on 64 bit windows?
Virus 32 bit = Win32.
Virus 64 bit = ?.
There is only one virus database, and it contains all the detected samples (Win32, Win64, Linux, …)
So, all viruses should be detected on all platforms.
Or, are you asking what’s the prefix of 64bit viruse names? Win64:virusname
I need know about virus will run on 64 bit because…
If this virus detect on win 32 bit Antivirus must found on Windows XP because data can tranfer from 32 bit to windows 64 bit windows ,but I will control for remove or other for virus , I should know as it run ?
And if Win64:virusname is good information, I ok.
I’m afraid I don’t understand the question… can you rephrase, please?
I think he means if you can transfer virus from Win32 to Win64 system and infect it (the Win64 system).
I’d say you can.
Windows 64bit have a 32bit subsystem (so that they can run “older” 32bit application) - so 32bit malware can run there as well (and, infect the 32bit part of the OS).
If I use windows xp 32bit os and have virus on 64 bit os on my computer,
Avast will detect it?
I mean if data 32bit like 2002 word file.
It can open on windows xp 64 bit when use office 2002 on it,and word file at make from it open on windows xp 32 bit when use word 2002,And word file have virus from windows xp 64bit but virus run windows 64 bit only.
Avast on windows xp 32 bit should detect that virus, and I should know as virus for win xp 64 bit?
Note I think is virus 64 bit cannot on win xp 32 bit.
As I said, all viruses are detected on all platforms. So, a 64bit virus would be detected by avast! running on 32bit Windows XP.
Thank you.
Virus 64 bit on computer 32 bit Avast will detected it.
I have next question is…
How it hazard?
