i got avast installed, install all last update from microsoft, but avast detect virus. i ask for a total clean. viruses are deleted, but when i connect on internet, avast detect viruses all the time. i don’t know what to do ???
You could start with some information to help us to help you.
- What Operating System are you using ?
- What avast! version and VPS file (virus database) number, e.g. 0630-2 (see about avast!) ?
- What is the infected file name, where was it found e.g. (C:\windows\system32\infected-file-name.xxx) ? Check the avast! Log Viewer (right click the avast icon), Warning section, this contains information on all avast detections.
- What actions have you taken to try and resolve the problem ?
It is entirely possible you have an undetected trojan downloader, though without information that can’t be confirmed. But, it would be wise to do some other tests.
If you haven’t already got this software (freeware), download, install, update and run it, preferably in safe mode.
- Ewido, a.k.a. avg anti-spyware If using winXP. or a-Squared free if using win98/ME.
