I’m getting a message that a virus can’t be moved to chest as it ‘is being used by another process’. Not sure how sinister this is??
Also when i run ad-aware (as recommended by avast) near the end it is picking up a trojan-gen. Could the two be connected? Avast has been finding viruses recently but only on full system scans at night, not when they are being ‘dumped’. Any reason and how often do you recommend I run avast?
Files in use are protected from deletion or being moved by windows the boot-time scan as Eddy mentioned is able to delete them as windows nor the file is in use.
I would suggest that when using other anti-adware/spyware scanners, adaware, etc. that you temporarily Pause Standard Shield as it will scan all the files whith adaware want to open/check. This will also speed up the adaware scan.
