I got 4 Virus i know on my computer, and they allways apear in the Temp Folder of my current account.
When i start the Antivirus, (Avast & Grisoft) it tells me that it cant scan the files that are infected. I tried often to remove the files manually, and it always works, but a few hours later they are here again.
The Viruses are Called: 15729.exe // 27366.exe // 28181.exe // 29019.exe
I am Using WinXP Prof. SP2; Avast AntiVirus Home Edition; Grisoft AVG Antivirus;
We cannot tell people enough times, that it is unwise to put TWO resident virus scanner products on one computer, they are bound to interfere with each other and give false results. Just imagine you want your house being guarded, you put one bulldog there, and your property in this case your code is safe, get another dog there also and the two dogs gonna fight each other and leave your house unguarded. So take one resident scanner off (uninstall), and do an oline scan with a non resident scanner like Bitdefender 9, lets see what results you will get then,
When i start the Antivirus, (Avast & Grisoft) it tells me that it cant scan the files that are infected.
This is caused because each AV in turn locks the infected file (because it is infected) stopping it being scanned by the other AV. So they are in conflict, rather than twice the protection two resident AVs often cause conflict that leaves you less protected rather than better protected.
Uninstall one as suggested and scan again with the remaining anti-virus. You can use an on-line or on-demand scanner as a backup, but never two resident (active) AVs.
Hallo together, sorry if i didnt say, but i used thirst the Avast, it found it deletet and so far and so far, than i deinstalled it, tried the Grisoft, same Result, and at least i tried both together.
None of them did it.
This goes on since about one week, plz give me some Minds to this problem.
What did the online scan find, you did not do that yet, did you.
You try that first, and then we can talk later. Another question to you, you have one resident Antivirus Program and one Software Firewall installed? If this is not the case, you cannot be protected properly. Two firewalls are as bad as two resident antivirus programs, remember that from now on,
