You could use the Print Screen button on your keyboard but this takes the whole screen and is in BMP format which can not be posted on the forum.

Instead, try using the utility at the link below. It is easy to learn and you can take just portions of the screen. Be sure to set it for a format used here. Try using JPEG to begin with.

cottage,

Have you had a chance to scan with Ewido yet? Did it find anything?

Not sure we’ve ever fully answered this:

Click Start
Right click My Computer
Click Properties
Click System Restore tab
Put a check in Turn off System Restore on All Drives
Click OK
Reboot

But before doing this post the screen shot of the warning if you’re able.

Hello, Yes I have scanned with ewido and got lots of cookies and a couple of adware. I do have a spyware called spinach, got it through my internet connection. Also for sometime I have been trying to send you the trojan horse screen but it keeps coming back as to big. I have tried lots of ways and now given up.Taking box in soon to a guy to remove virus from my avast data file, he works with avast through his business, so with all you wonderful support I thankyou all. Bye Cottage. P.S.Going to recommend this forum and avast to friends.

You can reduce the size of that screen shot using the utility at the link below.

OR, had you used the utility I suggested above, you could have taken just the warning message portion of the screen.

yo guys im new on the forum and im asking you guys to explain whats Win32:Swizzor-gen [Trj] i have avast to but i dond have that problem that i cant move to chest anyway i keep getting this virus and i wonder what kinda virus it is can some one tell mey? already my thx

Are you using Windows XP?
Can you try to schedule a boot-time scanning?
Start avast! > Right click the skin > Schedule a boot-time scanning.
Select for scanning archives and ‘ask’ for action with system files.
Boot.

Welcome to the forum, soulreaver.

It would also be helpful to post a screenshot of any warnings or messages you may be getting about this. See my above posts if you do not know how to do this. Screenshots are helpful because it gives us a direct view of the warnings/messages which sometimes are not interpreted correctly by users when posted on here in text only.

Swizzor is a trojan downloader - a program used to download other malware on an infected computer.

Or at least post the full path of the suspect file if the screen shot doesn’t work out.

M

yy but what i meant is from what do iget those virus downloading playing online games? anyway you dond need a screenshot because im 100% that i dind type it wrong cause i copy it. (boot is comminng soon)

Maybe. Its hard to know without more information. Even with the path and file name, etc you might never know how it came in. It could be from email or p2p too.

See this link for more on the many variations of swizzor

Yes, you did give us the name if the trojan. But, you did not give us the complete warning message which will also give us some information on how it was found. That is why I asked for a screenshot. You can also give us the complete text of the warning instead of a screenshot.

You need to give us more complete information for us to help you.

il do that if i get the warning again then
