I have a file that is detect as Evo-gen. It is inside a rar file. Avast virus chest cannot restore it. I am using the latest version of avast free antivirus (18.3.2333 build 18.3.3860.315) on windows 7 64bit.

This is a technical limitation, that is, avast cannot re-pack files deleted from the archive.
And with being “extract” option (extract files to somewhere else) not available, unfortunately there is no way to restore the file now.
It is said this option is planned to be implemented.
