Virus Chest is not working properly, only option showing is "DELETE"

Hi, I have read that this is not a new issue, which adds to the urgency to solve it for once!!! The Virus Chest shows a list of the files, supposedly viruses, many of them not, but the only option available is to “DELETE”, when I click on the arrow to try to open a pull down menu where I am expecting to find other options, like “RESTORE”, just nothing happens!. I opened and closed the GUI many times, always with the same result. There is no way to restore the files.

The interface is so buggy, frankly I am losing my patience. It certainly makes me doubt about the quality of the antivirus if your programmers don’t even get the interface to work properly.

Repair Avast:

  1. Control Panel → Add/Remove programs → Avast
  2. Click on ‘Repair’.
  3. Follow instructions.
  4. Reboot.

Thanks for the tip. I repaired Avast and continue with the same problem. It sometimes works, but mostly won’t get me the other menu option.

Other ideas?

Do I just install the beta over the existing, or do I need o uninstall my current version?

If I uninstall current version, does that then delete anything in the virus chest, so it won’t be recoverable?

You can install it at the top.
