I wonder if this might just be related (possibly) to the virus chest max file size.
Try bumping that up to greater than 75MB to test.
That said it should have failed to be sent to the chest if it exceeded this.
I am set at 256 MB so it is not that
Weird, I’m trying a test with a PUP (finds passwords), it is only 31KB and from the interface I see that the Submit button appears Greyed out to start with the Cancel is the active button.
It shows the file will be submitted on the next Update. I did a manual VPS update and I did see it being uploaded, but being so small a file I didn’t manage to grab a screenshot. It appears to have gone up OK.
I just wonder is there isn’t some sort of internal limit to what can be uploaded - if there is, I would expect be to get informed of that.
EDIT Typo.
Hopefully a reinstall will resolve it.
I will go for a clean install as I do not even get the form to fill in
Clean install did not work, I will try a smaller file and see if that is the problem
Yep 'tis a size thing … 6Mb file no problem…
This needs to be addressed as this is a fairly common malware file disorderstatus.ru
Certainly needs to be addressed when you can change the virus chest max file size to send. Even more so when the default size is 16MB I believe, at the very lease it should accept submission of files less than that default ‘Maximum size of file to be sent.’
Or it should give a notice (not sure if it did) for files exceeding an upload value, or show in the interface the maximum file size to submit for analysis.
