Virus chest question?

Does a virus in virus chest still activate if its programmed to be triggered on a certain date or when a certain action is performed, I know it stops a virus running but with event triggered ones do they still run?

The avast chest is a protected area which can’t access files within it. If you open the chest you will see the file name of the infected files, but if you look at the explorer folder location for the chest you won’t see the original file name but the one assigned by avast.

So even if there was a run command/activation, etc., the file isn’t in its original location so couldn’t be run.Even if there was some way to create a run command for the chest, the file name wouldn’t match and there would be no way to figure out which of the file names was the one you wanted.

Even if you managed that avast also encrypts the files in the chest, so I hope by now you are getting the idea that files in the chest are safe and secure from outside access.

Shortly, no. Chest is safe like David explained.

thanks for the explanation guys
