When I lookup viruses in the virus database most of the time i find them but sometimes i can’t find the virus so i was wondering if i can’t find the virus in the virus database does that mean that it is not in it or does it mean that avast just has no info about it. Example when i type in BLOODHOUND.EXPLOIT6 it does not come up with any viruses and i know for a fact that it is a real virus.
Every antivirus uses (somehow) different names for possible same malware.
Btw, Bloodhound.something is not a “real virus”, as you say, it’s a result of Symantec heuristic, i.e. there’s no point in trying to look up this name anywhere.

ok but also what about the kaung virus avast found it but when i looked it up in the virus database it found nothing.
