Virus definitions Updates - Don't seem to be updating?

Hi,

I have noticed over over the past few days I have had the new upgrade to avast 9
That my virus definitions seem to be 131019-1 and haven’t been updating to the latest file update

I have installed avast and tried a re-install but still the virus definitions seems to be always 131019-1
And not updating to the latests definition file

Also although I have it set to show popup of updates I have had no notification to say virus definitions have been updated - even though streaming updates is checked

I like a few others have been having the problem also with slow shut-down and and restart
Since having the avast upgrade 9 uni-stalling avast I have no problem with shut-down and restart

It seems to hang before it shut-down and close PC the same when PC refresh it hangs before it will refresh

Slow shutdown or start is not a problem for me, plus my VPS is 131020-0 so all is good on that front. :slight_smile:

This is a known thing, which is solved today.

I have Win XP if that helps and windows firewall for the moment
As to see why it don’t’ seem to be updating the virus definitions
