I have received only one update in 24 hours and I had to do a manual update. I have it set to automatically update. Version is 141211-0.
Is this the latest version?

This is the important one:

Thank you. Mine also shows 280
I did the manual update yesterday and today when I click on update Virus Definitions it show’s it’s already up to date. (same version number.)
Even though I am getting Streaming Updates I don’t feel very well protected.
Would it be safe to go back to Avast 2014 2021 and if so how could I do that?
That would be using a sledge hammer to crack a nut.
Try a repair of avast:
Vista, win7 or later - Control Panel, Programs & Features, uninstall a program, select ‘avast! Anti-Virus,’ click the Uninstall/Change and select Repair, click next and follow.
You may need to reboot after the repair.
This has in the past resolved this out of sync issue between reported and actual VPS version.
I done a repair, rebooted but still have 141211-0. Tried to update manually but once again it showed already up to date.
So do I and it probably takes a different amount of time for the update to happen
depending on the server you get this from.

Thank you bob3160. I feel a little less concerned now.
I did a manual update last evening and again this morning. Version 141213-0. My husbands Windows 7 updates automatically. ???
Instead of forcing the updates, why not leave it alone for 24 hrs and see what happens ?
As long as you’re getting streaming updates, you have the latest protection.
Have some patience.
