I have a Gateway computer running Windows 7 Home Premium 64 bit. For the last little while, I’m not sure exactly how long, Avast! seems to detect and move to the virus chest the SBS_VE_AMBR virus every Sunday afternoon. I have Avast! set to do a full scan of my computer every night, and all the scans show that there are no viruses on my system. Malwarebytes never seems to find any problems, either. Does anyone have any idea what is going on here?
What OS/avast version, and other security software are you running?
Are you running Counterspy?
The files mentioned are temporary files used by Counterspy, and then probably detected by avast.
