I got the “did not reach end of” message, too, last night. Today I got the BlueScreen. What a mess.
Try this and see if it find and remove anything
Malwarebytes Anti-Malware 1.50.1 http://filehippo.com/download_malwarebytes_anti_malware/
always update the program so you have lates database before you scan
click the remove selected button to quarantine any infections found
please post the scan log here
If you could not start programs (Pondus told you) in safe mode too use an alternative registry editor (e.g. from Safer-Networking) to delete registry vaules under this path in registry:
HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\Microsoft\Windows\CurrentVersion\Policies\Explorer
HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\Software\Microsoft\Windows\CurrentVersion\Policies\Explorer
Under Explorer key you might see keys in same name as programs you cannot run, delete those keys under explorer (not Explorer itself) and you will be able to run Malwarebytes Antimalware again, update it and it will take care of other things.
