Hi Folks
I’m uncertain about the following. On downloading something Avast! Pro did inform me with a yellow bar, that this “something” was infected with “JS:Istbar [Trj]”. Very good, but why this “something” is stored anyway on my HD?
Thanks for your enlightenment.

If it is stored on your drive or not depends on the settings and/or the decissions you make.
Pro has the option to work in silent mode and automaticly move or delete infected items.
thank you Eddy for answering. Yes I do know that. My setting is “still mode with answer yes”. Have I misunderstanded this setting?
As you can read in the help file:
With answer No (Cancel). All avast! questions that would be displayed on the screen under common circumstances, will be replied No. If the selected action is choose action after all, pressing the Delete button will be simulated (i.e. the infected file will be deleted).
Aha, misunderstanded because of my poor English. I’ve changed to “no” and download the same once more. Message shown but file not stored!
Thanks a lot
