Virus found in a decompression bomb. how to remove it? HELP!

I’m not good with computers so please have patience and PLEASE help me.

I was downloading e-books through Strong DC++ and I downloaded a file called “650 E-books Kindle.exe” that Avast recognized as a decompression bomb. I checked the file on Virustotal.com and it found several viruses. A report from Virus total is below. Avast won;t allow me to delete or move the file to chest. What should I do about it? I have not opened or unpacked the file after downloading it. Is it safe to delete it or not? What should I do? Thank you for in advance for your help and for saving my laptop!!!

if you want, i can have it checked to see if it is a false positive?

Thank you for your quick response! What a relief! I’m happy knowing I can just safely delete it. But if it’s easy to check for false positive I’m up for it. What do I do?

i will send you a PM. see the orange line above and click “my messages” in a couple of minutes

SOPHOS lab confirms infected

650 E-books Kindle.exe -- identity created/updated (New detection Troj/AutIt-QD)

so dont download any more E-books from that friend :stuck_out_tongue:

Thanks for checking and for your advice on what to do! I got rid of that file as soon as I got your confirmation.

I am going to be super careful when downloading books on the net.

and check downloaded files at Virustotal.com or jotti.org before you run it
