Virus found on the Avast Folder !

Hello all friends of the forum :slight_smile: I’m from Brasil and a new Avast Home 4.7 user.

Please sorry for my english, i learn by myself :-.

I was a AVG user and changed to Avast a few days.

During the first scan i found varios virus and one worried me the most, one in the “moved” folder of the program ! The virus is “i2omgt.sys.vir” inside “C:/Program Files/Alwil Software/Avast 4/DATA/Moved”

I’m very worried about it, tried to send the virus to Alwil through the program, but i can’t due to erros on connection related by the program.

The virus was in the Virus Chest today.

You’re welcome. Feel free to come back any time you need help you just to change experiences 8) I’m an ex AVG user too.

Can you send the samples to virus@avast.com ?
You can zip and password the files… Inform a link to this thread and the password used.
You can send the files to Chest and, from there, resend to Alwil for analysis.

The “C:/Program Files/Alwil Software/Avast 4/DATA/Moved” folder is where files detected by avast are sent if you choose Move/Rename as the action to take, avast changed the name of the file adding the .vir to the file name.

So this file would appear to have been detected by avast and you chose move/rename.
