Avast found a virus. It could not put it in the chect or repair it. Now what do I do? I used system restore and have not rescanned since that completed, but I doubt that will remove a virus from my system. I did a search for the virus but not much was found on it.
I went online and tried to scan with Trend Micro Housecall and with Panda and couldn’t scan with either. Got the message that there was an error when trying to transfer data from Internet. This was before I did the restore.

Here is some further information regarding the virus you mentioned…
ardvark: I am doing the ewido scan right now. If ewido doesn’t find this, does that mean I can feel safe? I started a scan with Kapersky (or something like that) and it took forever just to download the updates and it had already found one infection but didn’t indicate what it was. Then clicking around here I lost the page and I wasn’t going to start all over with that one.
FreeWheelinFrank: I went to the links you gave me but I’m a novice and I really didn’t understand anything much that was said. And yes, I do have that file.
I uninstalled that Comodo firewall. Might be a good product but no good for someone who doesn’t understand all the technical stuff.
The reason Avast couldn’t do anything with it is because it was in use. Well come to find out it was actually in a Comodo file, but when I scanned with Comodo it didn’t find anything. After removing Comodo and just starting my Windows firewall I scanned with Avast again, it found the virus again (even tho Comodo had been removed) and this time I was able to put it in the virus chest.
I don’t like that Windows is a one-way firewall so I’ve decided to download the trial of Webroot’s firewall since I already have Spy Sweeper. Do any of you have any comments about their firewall?
