Virus Identiffcation

Guys,

anyone know what this virus could be, this image comes up when i press Alt/Ctrl/Del or Ctrl/Shift/Esc, The screen will then fade to black.
It looks to me like some kind of Boot Virus, I can’t boot the computer from a recovery disk.

Do you have USB flash and access to another PC? What is your Windows version?

Yea i have access to both, It is a Widows Vista Laptop

just now i managed to get access to the PC, i Kept pressing the windows key, so running a full scan now and scheduled a boot time scan

Boot scan probably won’t help you, just wasting your time.

Please download Farbar Recovery Scan Tool x64 and save it to a flash drive.

[*]Plug the flashdrive into the infected PC.
[*]Restart your computer and tap F8 to bring up the Advanced Menu, then click Repair your computer
[*]Follow the prompt to enter keyboard input method, and then the prompt to enter a password. If the machine does not have a password, simply click Enter.

In the next menu, use the arrow keys on the keyboard to highlight Command Prompt and press Enter.

[*] In the command window type in notepad and press Enter.
[*] When notepad opens, click File and select Open.
[*]Select “Computer” and find your flash drive letter and close the notepad.
[*]In the command window type e:\frst64.exe and press Enter.

Note: Replace letter e with the drive letter of your flash drive.

[*]The tool will start to run. When the tool opens click Yes to disclaimer.
[*]Press Scan button.

It will make a log (FRST.txt) on the flash drive. Please attach it to your reply.

Download TDSSKiller and save it to your desktop

Execute TDSSKiller.exe by doubleclicking on it.
Confirm “End user Licence Agreement” and “KSN Statement” dialog box by clicking on Accept button.

[*] Press Start Scan
[*] If Suspicious object is detected, the default action will be Skip, click on Continue.
[*] If Malicious objects are found, select Cure.

Once complete, a log will be produced at the root drive which is typically C:\ ,for example, C:\TDSSKiller.<version_date_time>log.txt

Please post the contents of that log in your next reply.

TDSKiller found no threat

PC seems clean, I don’t see sign of malware.
