Virus in my Memory Block?

Hello all,

I keep running virus scans and get results with threats detected but Avast is unable to do anything about them, despite the high severity. All of them say: Process 5636 [mbam.exe], memory block 0x0000000005420000, block size 4194304 and list the threat as INF: AutoRun-AW[Wrm] (that’s what the first one says but the rest are similar but slightly different)

I have attached a screenshot of the scan results any help would be greatly appreciated.

Disable the scanning of memory.
avast! dedects unencrypted signatures in your memory.
No need to worry about that.

If you have MBAM Pro (resident) seems both programs are conflicting.
I was not aware of a conflict with MBAM Free.
Anyway, this is not a problem, but, like said, unencrypted signatures in memory.

They aren’t conflicting. When you set a custom scan to scan memory it will pick up signatures, that isn’t a conflict as you asked it to do that, under normal running it wouldn’t be scanning the memory in this way…

This in theory could also happen with the free MBAM if you ran an MBAM scan first and the signatures were still loaded, then ran an avast custom scan with memory scanning.

This will not occur if one of the softwares does not load unencrypted signatures into memory…

Well avast also loads them into memory, as we have even seen a memory detection on something loaded by avast.

Unencrypted?

Wouldn’t have been detected otherwise I guess.

Isn’t that an old version of avast?

I don’t believe so as it was recently in the forums.
