First, the option to open the Virus Incident Report in a current browser would be greatly appreciated (especially for us who use multi-tabbed browsers such as Firefox).
Second, the “Fill in our virus report to help us improve avast!..” link on the “avast Warning” screen for the Virus Incident Report is a little off. Well, actually “links”, since Firefox 3.0 reads it as “http://www.avast.com/eng/virus-incident-report.php?lang=ENG&name=[User’s First Name]&virus=”, “http://[User’s Last Name]&virus=win32/”, and “http://www.trj.com/” (since the trojan horse was Win32:Delf-KHM [trj]. Somehow it chopped off the “Delf-KHM”, perhaps because of the colon).
Third, there were several questions for which a correct response was not available, such as question one “How many PC’s were infected by the virus?”, there was no option for “none” (at least none of mine), as the trojan horse appears to have been caught by the web shield before I could download the infected file (http://download.freewarefiles.com/files/IconXTractor.exe\IconToIcon.exe) and question seven “Did the virus cause damage to data?” for which the correct response would be “No, the virus was caught before entering my system”.
I second that…
The incident report and a faster/easier submission process would be welcome…
Who/where (i.e, webpage) would be the best place to suggest this to?
