Virus on fresh install of Win 10

I’ve just installed Windows 10, installed and registered AVAST and made sure it’s updated. Windows firewall is also on.

I click on Windows start and select the ‘Getting Started’ app and start watching the presentation. Then I get a pop up saying windows is infected :weary:.

Is this a record for windows virus infection.

The suspicious file was put in the chest and it’s name is ‘Xboxidp.Native.ni.dll’

did avast say Win32:Evo-gen [Susp] = suspicious ?

Yes that’s the file That is in the chest now. Is it a virus or safe file.

Just 2 AVs catch it so it seems to be a save file.

You can right-click and restore and exclude the file inside the Virus Chest

It’s probably a safe file, but my thoughts are what if it’s not a safe file and the 2 AV programs that caught the file might be right.

Will AVAST be updated to exclude this file (if it’s safe) and the files in my virus chest be put back automatically. As I’m not sure what to do either the file is safe and its removal will break something in Windows 10, or it’s a virus and should be removed from my OS.
