virus or hardware ?

Hello,

I have an issue with a PC, first the PC was very slow (it spend beetween 15 and 30 seconde to open windows explorer and anything…) and doesn’t shut down but stop on : “update 1 on 32 don’t shut down the computer”, my cousin need systematically press the reset buton to shut down !
I tried to run avast at start, malwarebytes anti-Malware and adwcleaner, the windows update recovery tool but without positives effects.
so I reinstall windows (with the pc cd recovery, made by my cousin long time ago- this pc was sell without cd). the first 20 days it was ok, but nows the PC is still very slow and block on : “failure configuring windows updates, Cancel changes, don’t shut down the computer”

with a start on “safe mode” the cancel change is ok ( but pc still gone crasy) i have previously see that in normal start in the task manager the UC was use at 100% and in a safe mode start the UC was use about 3%.

the time after reinstallation to bug make me think about a virus, and the difference of use of the UC beetwen the normal start and the safe mode make me think about a hardware problem !

you will find in attached piece the log of MAM, FRST and asw (the avast’s antirootkit shut down during the run of asw !?)

so do you have a idea about this issue ans maybe a solution, could it be a virus (or malware or other) or does i need to look the hardware

Thanks for your help

ps: sorry for the translation I have a PC on french, (and i’m french too).

regards
Nicolas

That was a friendly advice since you said that you translated the OP. I hardly care even if you write in Victorian English as long as we can converse. Now, do you wish to continue with me regarding the issue in the OP or wish to wait for another helper?

I will enjoyed to continue with you. I am under water with this Pc and I think that is not a goog thing to buy a new pc if this one can be fixed. Thanks in advence.

Hi,

Previously, I haven’t had time for the computer so don’t worry for the delay.

ESET start to running, I’ll report you tomorrow if threats are founds.

thanks
Nicolas

hello,

I’ve done the scan as request ( i’ve just plug the ethernet cable after asked by eset) and when i was back from job, the PC was once again on " failure configuring windows updates, Cancel changes, don’t shut down the computer" so i reset and start on “safe mode”- i don’t know how was the end of the scan, but apparently by reading the log there is 3 threats founded.

you will find the log in attached piece.

I join you also the list of updates who failed.

ter,

new things : now each time I shut down the computer, it stops on " failure configuring windows updates, Cancel changes, don’t shut down the computer"

and for info, the computer’s backup is done, it won’t be a problem to reinstall windows if necessery (even if I had already done it, and don’t fix this issue)

cordialement
Nicolas
