Virus prohibiting boot on odd days

Hi guys,

I have got a strange problem, Monday and yesterday my machine would not boot up, I did not even stay a chance to change the boot sequence. Tuesday and today: no problem everthing seams normal. I have run avast4 to scan all files and again on reboot, no virus infection reported. The log file (aswboot) however shows strange exceptions, I have pasted the last section below. I suspect a new type of virus blocking odd day boots. I am running windows vista on a Dell inspiron 530 Desktop. Could anyone please tell me what the exceptions mean, and if this strange behaviour has been noticed before ?

Cheers

Joh

This is the first time I see error 0x776D24A5 here…
Hope the programmers could drop some light on it.

Is there any useful information into Control Panel > Administrative Tools > Events, specially ‘Errors’?
