I need to format my PC and reinstall windows 7 from scratch. I was wondering if I would be vulnerable when I connect the PC to the internet for the first time to start updating the system and the virus definitions…
In other words, is there a way to download the updates before formatting, save the files, and update everithing offline before connecting to the internet?

To prepare reinstalling Windows, you can download :
- The Avast Offline Installer from this topic https://forum.avast.com/index.php?topic=201729.0
- The most recently Offline VPS updates from https://www.avast.com/download-update
