Virus Protector Pro virus. help

I have a virus problem with Virus Protector Pro. Its randomly Shutting stuff down, like internet and folder s, my homepage has been set to asafetyhomepage.com, I got a Toolbar that won’t get away. A 24/7 flashing icon in my taskbar witch alerts me every 10 seconds to buy some program. And it added 5 processes in Task Manager. Iesmin and Iesmn. Deactivating the processes does not work, and I cant find the folder where the program is in. Avast does not recognise it. And every time I click post message the explorer shuts down. This virus is really annoying me, any ideas on how to get rid of the virus?

But do you use this application side-by-side with avast? I mean, what is Virus Protector Pro?

virus protector pro is a MALWARE…it belongs to the ZLOB family of torjans …
u can get infected if u vist a host site…it uses ur ActiveX controls to install itself…
ie…poses as a codec required for viewing a video…etc
…

If your on XP you best turn off system restore, and show hidden files as it hides in those places… also run spybot etc in safe mode
