I’m helping a friend fix a computer thats not even a month old. The computer is a Toshiba Satellite A135-S4677 15.4" Widescreen Notebook PC. It has an Intel Pentium Dual Core T2080, 1GB of DDR2 memory, and 80GB hard drive. I installed Avast on this computer the week it was purchased.
Whenever you turn the computer on, the computer boots up fine until you hit the desktop. At that point, it basically freezes. If you are lucky, you might be able to double-click on an icon but the program never loads.
I tried to log in by using Safe Mode and everything boots fine until you hit the desktop. At this point, it comes up with two separate error messages.
Windows Explorer is not working ~>Windows is checking a solution for the problem
Windows Explorer is restarting…
After this point, its like caught in a loop. It just recycles those same error messages over and over.
I have also tried the System Restore to a previous date. It runs its course and when it tries to load the desktop the first time, it just stays on a black screen. You can see the mouse pointer but nothing else.
Since this is a new computer, there is no important information that needs to be saved. If someone here could assist me in fixing this problem or running the restore CD while using the Command Prompt perhaps, it would be GREATLY appreciated.
Newer laptops (with larger HD’s) often have a hidden restore partition, rather than a restore CD. Look out for a message such as 'This computer is protected by …(PCAngel is one company). Or 'Press F* to restore your computer. (F11 maybe.) You may need to look on the company web site or in the Notebook documentation to find the Function number to press during boot to do a system restore.
Maybe you currently be infected with flash.10.exe and macromedia10.exe…
Many of my members are infected by this virus before…
For xp it just running and lock your task manager, folder option and cmd…
But for vista after login windows cannot been load as usual…
The only way to solve this is by reformat your window and install latest antivirus database…
Before that if u want to get all your data just open your task manager and go at program, run c:\windows\explorer
The windows will load as usual…
Get your document or anything and format back your computer…
Latest avast virus database are already detect this kind of virus…
Hopefully this will help you…
It just for user who infected with this virus only…
If can try to make boot scan with latest virus database so that you can just format only one hard disk…
After the scan and use the way above to open the windows u should prompted with a message flash.10.exe cannot been found…
