Virus Samples

Hello!

I run a file sharing website, and It seems It has become a comfortable home for malware.

Any simple way to submit samples, maybe have a bitdefender like setup with Avast to scan file being uploaded? I think I seen a server Avast product, but I use linux/CentOS and from what I can see the product Is only available for windows servers.

I don’t feel like submitting samples one by one, because 1k+ files are uploaded daily, with thousands of downloads daily.

Anything Avast can do to help out?

send all samples to virus@avast.com via e-mail.

send them in a password-protected archive.Use something like 7-zip to do that.

Password should be this: infected

mention password in e-mail body.

Sorry, but I don’t have the time to download, zip, and send thousands of samples daily. I’m preferably looking for a server side solution. I would like to have my visitors and members a bit safer.

upload your malware collection to ftp.avast.com/incoming

and notify avast team via e-mailing to virus@avast.com
