I use Maxthon 2.0.08 browser and I do not have a seperate download manager installed.
Can someone tell me how to set things up so that my downloads will be automatically scanned for viruses with Avast 4.7?
I use the extension with FireFox called “Download scan” but can not figure out how to do this with IE or Maxthon.
If I need to install a seperate download manager I will but I prefer not to.
Any recommendations for managers would be appreciated?
I think you can’t do it in IE.
Maybe there is an extension (add-on) for Maxthon. I’m not sure. There are years that I’ve dropped Maxthon to Firefox.
For download manager, that won’t hurt 
try Free Download Manager (www.freedownloadmanager.org)
new Maxthon 2 version contain own inbuilt downloader (as additional to class IE download) …
if avast! is running in memory then the scan occurs auto but i guess he ask about ‘on demand’ scan like e.g. Getright supports …
in that case this request should be aimed on Maxthon 2 developers (to add after download actions)
