Virus (servicer.exe) not detected! (resolved!!)

Hi, i’m new to this forum but i am an Avast user for a long time :). The problem is i downloaded a file from a torrent but it came with this virus that Avast doesn’t detects even after sending a sample of the virus to Alwil several times???, i also analize the virus at virustotal .com and this is the result: http://www.virustotal.com/nl/analisis/32598ce2e7192528703b396cba29dbc2, so i think this file is a virus :o!

How did you send it to avast, password protected zip attachment, with the password in the body of the email ?
Was it sent to virus (at) avast dot com ?

Yes i send it to virus (at) avast dot com but with a password protected rar attachment and password included in the email of course. Do i realy need to use zip or rar is also good?

If avast is not detecting it, it’s not necessary, it won’t be blocked.
Of course, the minor size, the faster you’ll upload the file…

That’s strange because at virustotal. com there’s a lot of av’s that are detecting it, witch av should i trust? ???

Not a single one is perfect… They will miss one from time to time.
Indeed, we always expect a better time response of avast to new viruses… sometimes they’re not fast

Any password protected archive file is good to send it, zip (generic term really), rar or 7zip are OK too.

True, no antivirus program is perfect, i think i’ll wait a few days and see if Avast detects this file as malicious.

Hey! After the vps file update of today (080601-0) Avast finaly detects the virus!!
Thank’s Avast team :D, you’re awesome! Keep up the good work!
