I’m currently at University and I’m looking for some solid up to date statistics regarding computer infections. More specifically Trojan Horse. I’m not sure if or where Avasts posts this information or if anyone knows where I can find that kind of data but it would be much appreciated. Things like how many have been blocked over the last few years, how many new ones have been added to the database, things like that.
Must it be avast?
Release history >> https://www.avast.com/virus-update-history
Start counting ;D those with [Trj] endings are trojans
Be aware that some of these signatures cover multiple trojans, so for a correct statistic you probably need to contact avast lab
AV test statistic >> https://www.av-test.org/en/statistics/malware/
Shadow server >> https://www.shadowserver.org/wiki/
at lower left you can select stat for day/week/month …
Any help in this?
It doesn’t have to be Avast sourced, I did find some statistics from Kaspersky, I’d just like more than one source. Counting the definitions would be inefficient and the AV test statistic is too generic since it just says malware and not what kind. The third link seems to have some solid statistics on it so that should be of some use.
Thanks :3
Hello,
it’s hard to separate only “trojan horse” detections because there are many generic detections which detects more than one category of malware.
