i would like to know if, when finish the 1 year of maintenance contract for avast 4 Professional i’ll continue getting virus updates (automatic or manual) or if i’ll have to pay again to get it.

No, when the maintenance period is over, you won’t be getting virus database updates anymore - that’s actually exactly what the “maintenance period” is about.
To take what igor said a bit further. When your contract runs out you will either have to purchase again or downgrade to the free Home edition (assuming you meet the requirements)
