virus! virus! Please help

I posted for help and received assistance. I ran AdwCleaner and I have a log. I then downloaded and scanned with Malwarebytes’ Anti-Malware. I also have a log for that. I was then suppose to download OTL but I got a popup saying it can’t download from a temporary folder. I tried the secondary address but got the same popup. I also can’t figure out where to locate the logs through the browse section under attachments. I find them in the log section of Malwarebytes’ Anti-Malware but I can’t attach from there.

Thank you

Kendra

find the log you want in malwarebytes and open it.... then in top left corner...click file...and save as....save it on your desktop now go back and browse to your desktop....

??? can you attach a screenshot of this popup

When I opened the logs there were 3 of them. As for the issues with otl, now it won’t do anything when I try to download it

Can you get to safe mode ? If so then download and run this programme attaching both logs

Farbar Recovery Scan Tool x64

Here ya go. Hopefully I did it correctly :-\

Download the attached fixlist.txt to the same location as FRST
Start FRST and press Fix
Once that has run then retry OTL

How is the computer behaving now ?

I can’ play any videos/movies. I get a pop up that says I need to update adobe flash. But updating doesn’t change anything. I un-installed and then re-installed it, but that didn’t help. Although I can watch movies through Netflix without problems. Just not through other sites that I occasionally visit…I still can’t access my onboard keyboard at the log in page. My icons still change positions on their own. Start up and shut down takes forever!

OK lets run some repairs first

Download Windows Repair (all in one) from this site

Install the programme then run

Go to step 3 and allow it to run SFC

On the start repairs tab click start

Select the following items and tick restart system when finished

I went through all the steps as you outlined. I’m still having issues with the onscreen keyboard. It won’t pop up from the log in screen from ease of access, I still can’t view pictures off houses on realtor.com. I’m not sure if it’s the website or my settings. Sometimes I can view them and sometimes I can’t. There doesn’t seem to be any rhyme or reason as to when I can view them. Also my icons change position not only when I restart my computer but also whenever I go to my desktop. For example: If I minimize this window, set my icons, maximize this window then minimize again, my icons will be arranged differently. Could that be a setting of some sort?

For the icons… Right click the desktop and select personalise
Select Desktop Icons
Ensure there is a tick in allow themes to change icons

Is ease of access still on your taskbar ?

After I sent the last message I changed some settings. So all is good with my icons and the onscreen keyboard. Now all that seems wrong is viewing pics on reality.com. I keep going back to that issue not knowing if you can or would know what to do. Since everything is running like it should, it may be the website.

Just visited the site, and I am getting a hit and miss on the photo’s as well

Otherwise is all well ?

Everything is running great. Thank you very much!!

Subject to no further problems

I will remove my tools now and give some recommendations, but, I would like you to run for 24 hours or so and come back if you have any problems

Now the best part of the day ----- Your log now appears clean

A good workman always cleans up after himself so…The following will implement some cleanup procedures as well as reset System Restore points:

Run OTL and hit the cleanup button. It will remove all the programmes we have used plus itself.

Clear Restore Points

Go Start > All Programmes > Accessories > System tools
Right click Disc Cleanup and select run as administrator
When it pops up at the first prompt select OK after it has done some calculations the tabs will appear
Select More Options tab
Press Sytem Restore and Shadow Copies Cleanup button
