virus vs clean file

I have atached “Thf_HM004.mp3.exe.log”. I’ve added the .log extension manually as the forum wouldn’t let me atach a file with .exe extension. The file’s real name is “Thf_HM004.mp3.exe”

I have plenty of them along with files with .mp3 ext. They reside in a folder called
"D:\Bethesda Softworks\Morrowind\Data Files\Sound\Vo\h\m".
The file listing goes like this:

Thf_HM002.mp3
Thf_HM002.mp3.exe
Thf_HM003.mp3
Thf_HM003.mp3.exe
Thf_HM004.mp3
Thf_HM004.mp3.exe
Thf_HM005.mp3
Thf_HM005.mp3.exe

and so on…

Avast says NOTHING about these file although they really look suspicious to me.

The file dates differ too
For the .mp3’s it goes like
created: 9 ian 2006, 20:24:21
modified: 15 feb 2002, 17:48:12
and for .mp3.exe file:
created: 3 feb 2006, 19:37:08
modified: 3 feb 2006, 21:11:26

Shall I say more???

Never ever send the viral sample here!

Send it please to virus@avast.com

Thanks.

aha… I’ll send it like you said…

Avast says it’s clean tough

I wonder where you got those files in the first place.
I also have Morrowind installed and i don’t have any EXE files in that folder.

I wonder that too … that is why I have posted in this forum … but the main problem is why Avast says nothing about these files. I had Avast installed when I installed Morrowind.
