Hi loupdesstepppes,

You can safely leave malware in quarantine where it is entirely harmless. It’s best not to delete malware in the chest (at least for a month or so) just in case it is a false positive identification of a legitimate file. This is why all anti-malware programs have this feature.

As you have discovered adware, a scan with some free anti-adware/spyware programs would be a good idea, if you don’t use these programs already:
