Virusscan.Jotti- avast! and Malware

Hello, I am frequently on these Site: http://virusscan.jotti.org/, because of the mark commodity recognition and I must again and again see, that avast! sogut like never thereby is, if which was recognized. It would be perhaps better to insert more signatures which avast! straight times approximately 35,000 signatures, other one has, like also free lies with approximately 100,000 signatures and more drueber. Perhaps Alwil should there times which change, only every three or four days an update is not straight up-to-date. Should be regarded please as constructional criticism.

Faith

Faith, this was discussed a lot in the past… It depends on how you count the signatures; how the company names and numberes the viruses; ‘real’ viruses are the ones ITW and not the old, obsolete ones; speed of reaction and update; etc. etc. 8)

do not understand me wrongly, me went it rather around it, why ALwil does not rausgibt each day an update, see also the discussions in Germany. Each offerer makes that Malware, because of the mark commodity danger, which offers Malware already daily updates daily on us runterprasselt.AntiVir, whereby I do not want to compare AntiVir with Avast, since Avast is simply better. I mine also the fact that one can there regard jotti, as reference and is me stop been noticeable that Avast does not find frequently again found mark commodity, why also always. She asks as constructional criticism on, not as criticism for the criticism sake. Faith

Pavel said in the past that Alwil won’t release a ‘placebo’ update. I mean, if there is a new, dangerous, virus ITW, as soon as they get the signature it will be on line.
Look, I understood we can ask for more and more, better and better. It’s in our rights as users ;D
Try to update AVG and AntiVir. I have both. I receive ‘down servers’ very, very often. I don’t have the paid version of them but only the free. I just can’t update. Some hours later, I update easily… Well, I won’t call these updates security ones… They could be there very late :stuck_out_tongue:
AVG update scheduling is just a joke :stuck_out_tongue: I do not have any other word for it, it’s a joke :frowning:
I agree with you about the comparison between avast and AntiVir.

See studies of ‘answers time’ (time since a virus is discovered and the signatures are ready for download). You’ll see what I’m talking about.
