Virustotal desktop tool...different from VTchromizer extension....

Howdy folks,

SecurityExploded came up with a new desktop virustotal tool, that launches quicker results. Re: http://www.securityxploded.com/virus-total-scanner.php#VirusTotalScanner_Download
The VT scanner tool can also be used inside the Windows context menu, to scan “on the fly”…
Right-click on any link and scan the target with VirusTotal, free and easy.
Is this different from VTchromizer extension?

I don’t see this being a lot different to the VT Uploader 2.0 program, so why they didn’t simply update that program to incorporate any change. The VT Uploader 2.0 program, checks for file hash first and if not found will open that page if not found (or you ask) it will upload for scanning.

So for me this seems an unnecessary program rather than update an existing one.
