Alright well my moms laptop got a virus so I downloaded avast! asap after microsoft security essentials didn’t work. I had to run the PC in safe mode with networking to download it and I ran a full scan ( which took hours ) and it said the laptop was clean, But my moms laptop has the Vista Security 2012 virus. Is avast! not finding the virus cause its in safe mode or what? Also only way I can get anything to run is in safe mode and even then its a challenge trying to open any programs.
Alright well my moms laptop got a virus so I downloaded avast! asap after microsoft security essentials didn't work.so now you have installed multiple AV.....never do that, as this will only give you windows errors and false positive detections

So far it is working with fixing the registry thanks again for the help and I hope this works, Also I did not know I couldn’t have multiple AV’s on my computer.
did you run Malwarebytes to clean this ?
Also I did not know I couldn't have multiple AV's on my computer.Never install two antivirus (see reply from quietman7) http://www.bleepingcomputer.com/forums/index.php?s=7c8217673a726b92cfc91ecfd4294a29&showtopic=260844&view=findpost&p=1441638
it is also recomended to run a removal tool so all leftovers files are gone as they can create conflicts
run and reboot - Uninstallers for Security Software

I only had Microsoft security essentials when the virus appeared, then I downloaded avast and it did nothing then I went to download MBAM and I could not get it to install. I have the registry running now and I’m about to run rkill, as soon as I do that I am going to remove mse and then run mbam.
Also I am following the guide you gave to me and it is working so far.
just so you know…Malwarebytes you can have with your AV
Thanks for telling me that, I was about to erase mbam from this computer ( The safe one )
Alright Mbam is scanning and its found 13 items, I know a couple of those files is rkill so the rest should be the virus, I will let it finish its scan and I will have an update in a couple hours.
not necessary to do full scan…
My mom want me to do a full scan just to make sure everything will be clean, I told her too it wasn’t necessary but its my moms computer and I’ll do what she wants.
It is best to do what moms say…or there will be penaltys ;D
OBS…also wife ;D
At least you’re old enough to up and leave for awhile if you wanted, I’m 14 and in america you have to be 18 to move out or just leave your parents home without their permission.
hmmm…are you sure you are not talking about North korea ;D
So true… ;D 8)
Well I can leave without permission but I mean I just cant walk out whenever I please like say if she gets mad at me I can’t just leave without getting in trouble.
Just a few more years!
;D
Alright well malwarebytes removed it but I’m going to run 1 more scan just to make sure there is nothing hidden. Thanks again for your help Pondus ;D
Alright well MBAM is still picking up a couple things here and there, I guess I’ll just have to keep scanning it till everything is gone.
follow essexboys guide ( link in my first post ) and attach the logs here
Then Essexboy will fix this when he arrive…
Well, if you help her out here with essexboy, I’m sure you’ll get some much needed brownie points, and maybe she will cut you some slack.
Soon 18 will arrive…
You will learn much from essexboy, just by doing what he says. ;D
