I was running the free version and had no problems but when the free trial expired and I purchased a license and entered the license information, all of my sidebar gadgets stopped working.
How do I get them to working again? Thanks in advance.
Does the sidebar open at all or did the gadgets just quit working? Are your gadgets attached to the Sidebar or on the desktop?
The sidebar opens up but none of the gadgets run. They don’t even look normal. For instance, the clock doesn’t even look like a clock. I’ve tried unattaching them and re-attaching them but they don’t work either way.

Hmm, that is weird. You could stop Avast from running at startup and see if that fixes it. You can do that with the Windows System Configuration Utility. Click Start, type msconfig in the search bar. When msconfig.exe shows up in the list click it and the utility will open. Click the Startup tab and Avast should be in the list. Uncheck it and click Apply. The next time you start Avast won’t run. To make Avast run again just open the utility and check the box.
I would try that at least and see what happens.
I highly doubt that avast had anything to do with it though.
You said you just purchased the pro edition, entered the key and it started happening? You didn’t re-install avast on top of what you had already though, right?
Might be a good idea to remove and re-install avast if that is what’s actually causing the problem.
