i got a $10 vista reboot disc from the owner of a pc store where i got my used pc…as soon as i installed a clean harddrive and the disc…i went into ie and the msn site is what is there as soon as you open the browser… yhere is sa search bar with the msn address and a small box at the end of the bar to click for a drop down menu…in the dropdown there is a another msn address with a addtl series of letters/numbers attached…i cant delete it at all and always get a bunch of false sites like www.m.microsoft.com or search.googlesite that wont let me go to a legit site…resulting in a eventual root virus/crash/crying fit that i enedd by first going into windows live w/https and then making my way to a new brolwser like chrome…
my ?? the owner of the store insists im full of st and says the disc has beeen used a thousand times by him and 0 issues…just me…it also has bad microsoft (fraudulent) sssl in the tools /ie options page…i had avast crash on me…mozilla and ie and chrome all crashed…i now use a partitioned and clean (hope) harddrive…(different one) no issues…am i fulll of st or is the msn brows4er bar corrupt as i think? not usingt it and going to live/hotmail with https has solved it…ideas??
owner called me a f’n ass h…l…e and refused to honor any warranty or look at disc …he sold me the drive that was not wiped clean as i paid him for…
i would like to break his legs and other things but have my anger under control now…is the disc bad??
i can send a small example of the address in the bar and the one in the dropdown…
he never provided a c.o.a. either i used a old one from a old pc…help? i just ckd my ie browser and i forgot the msn site is long gone i have ie9 now…
