After dealing with a mess caused by a preinstalled program i discovered one day visualdiscovery on my machine so i removed it but it continues to exist on my machine despite the fact there are no known files of it existing it shows up in my background proccesses. So naturally i try to perma block the process itself only to find that if I do that it permanently blocks my connection to the internet using random error codes such as error no response. Which leads me to believe I have zero control over the program even the task manager cannot safely end the process. I have to then restart the computer to gain back internet.
thats a bit beyond me however after comming across a chrome forum topic had to go through several search results i learned the root program is called SuperFish. I advise anyone using Lenovo products to imediately check their computer regardless of problems existing or not and Remove Superfish from the computer also I advise that you do not use the preinstalled anti virus as i discovered on my computer that it was corupted and had disabled my computers defenses allowing for a multitude of background attacks.
“Thanks for this. I thought it was an extension but it was superfish. I checked the install date of superfish and it was installed before I even purchased my (brand new) laptop. It had the same date as all the bloatware that lenovo had pre-installed for me. Hope that helps someone. And shame on lenovo for allowing that.”
