vixy.net virus ?

Looks like I got a virus in my system or some other sort of damage from visiting the download site vixy.net.
Read the email I sent them:

Hello

I just tried the flv converter to download a youtube video in avi format.
Somehow it caused problems to my system.
I 'm trying to access the folder where the video was save using “my
computer” and I get a microsoft explorer error (sorry for the
iconvenience).
What can I do about it ?
First I tried to rename the download file in the download dialogue and
it was saving only 136 kbytes from it, instead of the 3 Mb it was.
Then I did it again keeping the name you give (a long series of
numbers) and it was downloaded.
Then I renamed it in the computer and the problem started.
So far the problem appears when I open “my computer” and try to open
folder “my videos” where your file is.
Please advise.

I have n’t an answer so far from them and right now avast is scanning my system.

Download HiJackThis and post a log here.

basically nor vixy.net is a dangerous site neither is the downloadable program…

its a quiet popular download-tool for videos (like from youtube) which also converts it into different formats; it also allows to download the music file only…

on my computer vixy.net works without problems and i don’t think that there is any malware, but i easily can be wrong…

EDIT:

First I tried to rename the download file in the download dialogue and it was saving only 136 kbytes from it, instead of the 3 Mb it was. Then I did it again keeping the name you give (a long series of numbers) and it was downloaded.

The file name for Windows XP/Vista should be something like: vixybeta_install_0.7
and not a long series of numbers like you discribed…

I just tested it again and it still works without any problems
