vlc media player activeX vulnerability, patch it!

Hi malware fighters,

There are quite some users of vlc. The program has a vulnerability: http://www.videolan.org/sa0703.html
Users of the plug-in in FF are not vulnerable, the users of the activeX are. Upgrade to the latest version.
Again it shows activeX was not one of M$'s best ideas, what a misery this one has caused over time.

I have VLC on Ubuntu and like it a lot, but not on Windows, so that’s one less vulnerability to worry about. :stuck_out_tongue:
